If you’re Interested in obtaining a Firewise Assessment for your property (developed or undeveloped) and you are interested in having Fire Mitigation work conducted on your property please fill out a lil’ info below and a member of our Fire Mitigation Team will be in touch shortly.

We appreciate your consideration of establishing a fire resilient property and helping support our efforts to protect the Community.

As of March 2025, the FEMA fire mitigation grant has been completed and funding is no longer available. Baca Fire is still providing free Firewise assessments to home owners. Baca Fire mitigation crews are available for hire to perform mitigation work at the owner’s expense. Some of our mitigation efforts are made possible through funding support from agencies such as Saguache County, the Colorado State Forest Service, & the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Would like your property considered for this financial aid? If so, please indicate below.

Please note, due to the intermittent timing and requirements of programs, this funding is not always available; however, we will include your information on a priority list and reach out when funding is available.
